Iran's FM to visit Bahrain next week

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki is to visit Bahrain next week, Iran's Ambassador to Manama, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Friday.

Talking to IRNA, he said during the visit, a session of Iran-Bahrain High Commission for bilateral cooperation will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
As to the recent visit to Qatar of the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, he said the two sides stressed holding the first session of the joint High Commission during the visit.
President Ahmadinejad arrived in Doha, Qatar, on December 3, 2007, to attend the Summit of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC). He addressed the opening session of the 28th PGCC summit.
President Ahmadinejad also met and conferred with a number of dignitaries, including the Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the UAE Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa on the sidelines of the summit.
