TABRIZ – The head of East Azarbaijan Province’s Commerce Organization, here on Monday announced that the province annually exports one million square meters of silken hand-woven carpets worth $200 million.

Talking to ISNA, Sadeq Najafi said that exporting 70 percent of its total silk rug production, the province ranked first nationwide in terms of production volume, exports, and the variety of designs.
Delegations have been dispatched to South Africa, Russia, Western Europe, and Arab countries for marketing and holding related exhibitions in these countries.
