IAF to display photos from different societies

TEHRAN -- Iranian Artists Forum will play host to a group photo exhibition on the theme of social documentaries from August 9 to 14.
Some 62 photos by photographers from Iran, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Pakistan will be on display during the exhibit.
Foreign judges for Mobarak festival appointed
TEHRAN -- Three foreign artists will be among the panel of judges for the International Section of the 11th Mobarak International Puppet Theater Festival.
The festival will take place from August 10 to 16 in Tehran.
The jury is comprised of several Iranian professionals and the General Secretary of the Union Internationale de la Marionnette Jacques Trudeau, the artistic director of the Italian puppet festival “Arrivano dal Mare” Stefano Giunchi and a Russian director.
Iran invited to Venice Biennial
TEHRAN -- Iran is officially invited for the first time to take part in the 53rd Venice Biennial.
President of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Baratta invited Iran to take part in the Venice Biennial’s 11th International Architecture Exhibition. The invitation was contained in a letter to the Director of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Office for Visual Arts Mahmud Shaluii.
