2 Germans freed by kidnappers in Yemen return home

SAN'A, Yemen (AP) -– A Yemeni airport official says two Germans held hostage by tribesmen in Yemen for five days are returning home.
They were abducted Dec. 15 along with their daughter. The three Germans were released after the Yemeni government agreed to pay a ransom of thousands of dollars and to free some tribesmen from prison.The airport official says the two Germans left Yemen Tuesday on a flight to Frankfurt via Istanbul.
He says the couple's daughter, who is married to a Spanish businessman in Yemen's capital, was not on the flight.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak to the press.
