YAZD – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated here on Wednesday that the oppressors of the world should learn a lesson from the fate of former U.S. president George Bush.
“If the oppressors of the world… continue their past crimes, they will surely suffer the same fate as Mr. Bush’s,” he said while addressing thousands of people in Yazd province.“It is better for you to change (the policy of) invading countries…, and respect them,” he added, criticizing the imperialist approaches of the hegemonic powers.
“You are not qualified to lead the world. If the opportunity rises and a referendum is held, nations throughout the globe will vote against you.”
Ahmadinejad pointed out that people across the world will not accept “politics without ethics”.
“You are the basis of insecurity in the world. (You) are not qualified to establish peace and security in the world.”
“If you, oppressors of the world, are not the root of insecurity, so what are you doing in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa? Why are brotherhood and peace forgotten wherever you are present? What are all these weapons of mass destruction for if you are looking for peace? Why are you stockpiling so much armament? Are you going to use them to establish peace, security and justice? Or slaughtering nations?” he said, questioning the presence of foreigners in the region.
The president also criticized the approaches of the hegemonic powers towards other countries, and said, “Some oppressors think that they should have more rights because they are more powerful. (They) consider themselves as leaders of the world and intend to lead humanity.”
“These countries meddle in all affairs across the globe and direct the global ties towards their preferred directions.”
Ahmadinejad also questioned the international community and the so called upholders of the human rights for being dominated by the oppressors.
“Why are the international organizations under the domination of the oppressors of the world? Why do not you allow other countries to express their views? Why have you debilitated the Security Council and have made it a tool for your dictatorship?”
The president emphasized that the first requirement for a leader is “justice” while the major powers shun justice.
“If you were bound to justice, you would not attack other lands and would not support tyrants. Why did you support the murderers in the Gaza issue?”
Ahmadinejad reiterated that the second requirement for the global leadership is “ethics”.
“In the oppressive systems of the world, there is no room for ethics and spirituality. … If there was a place for ethics among you, you would not trample on the rights of nations so much, would not approve of aggression, enmity and rancor, and would not set up so many dreadful prisons.
