TEHRAN (IRNA) - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said here on Saturday that rectification of consumption pattern should be incorporated into the fifth five-year development plan (2010-15).

According to a report by news and media Office of Majlis, he added on the sidelines of a meeting with Majlis staffers that the relevant committee should review the plan for making subsidies target-oriented with a broader vision.
He also pointed out that preliminary step have earlier been taken and Majlis should be provided with an opportunity to study the subject.
Majlis Research Center can render remarkable assistance in this regard, he noted.
Stating that the issue has been raised in the Expediency Council and it was agreed that a committee should be set up to deal with the general policies in the council, Larijani added that Mjalis Vice Speaker Mohammad Reza Bahonar is scheduled to attend the committee sessions.
""Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stressed the need to rectify consumption pattern since he was president,"" he said, adding that his remarks provided opportunity for focusing on the issue.
