PRETORIA (IRNA) – Head of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Dr Ian Anthony said on Saturday Iran’s progress in the peaceful nuclear activities is remarkable.

Dr Anthony, SIPRI senior researcher, told IRNA that the Islamic Republic of Iran is loyal to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) that shows its nuclear activities are transparent.
He referred to the West's concerns over Iran’s nuclear program and added there is no evidence to accuse that country of producing a nuclear bomb.
The SIPRI researcher said Israel and some certain countries have nuclear weapons but they are not investigated for their nuclear activities.
On the contrary, the West is concerned about the nuclear activities being done for the peaceful purposes, Dr Anthony said, adding that it is indicative of the West's double-standard stand on the nuclear issues.
