Uruguay seeks to boost trade ties with Iran

MADRID -– Uruguayan Industry, Energy, and Mining Minister Daniel Martinez said in Madrid on Friday that Montevideo is interested in boosting economic cooperation with Iran.
According to IRNA, in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Uruguay Morteza Tafrishi, Martinez said that Uruguay is eager to cooperate with Iran in the fields of cement factory construction, mine exploration and exploitation, and agricultural machinery.The Uruguayan minister will negotiate with Iranian officials over purchasing oil in his upcoming visit to Iran, said the official.
Tafrishi welcomed the promotion of bilateral economic ties, voicing Tehran’s willingness to transfer its experience to Uruguay
