TEHRAN – Kazem Jalali of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee stated on Friday that a parliamentary committee which formed to investigate events that followed the election results has met defeated presidential candidates Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Mahdi Karroubi, and Mohsen Rezaii, and also Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

The meetings were held to discuss the recent riots and the attack on the University of Tehran dormitory.
“During these meetings, it was emphasized that the Majlis is ready to pursue the election-related issues within the legal framework,” Jalali told the Mehr News Agency.
The MP added the candidates have pointed out that they are against the riots and that they have insisted on resolving the issues through legal channels.
Commenting on the attack on the University of Tehran’s dormitory, Jalali stated that the investigations show that no “responsible organization” has been involved in the incident
