Barcelona insist on Villa

The Catalan team are said to make a cash offer for the Valencia striker, despite they stated a few days ago the player is not transferable.
Barcelona are not willing to surrender in their attempts to acquire David Villa, who keeps quiet while in South Africa, where he's playing Confederations Cup with Spain.According to Marca radio station, Josep Guardiola, Txiki Begiristain and Joan Laporta let him know by phone they are eager to count on him ahead of the next season; the Catalans must defend UEFA Champions League, Spanish La Liga and Copa del Rey.
Furthermore, as Barcelona learnt Real Madrid gave up in their bid to sign Villa, the Catalans would make a €40 million cash offer for the striker.
