Record Tevez deal denied

Reports claiming that Carlos Tevez's move to Manchester City was actually a British record have been denied.

City signed Tevez in the summer after he departed their arch-rivals Manchester United.
It was originally thought that Tevez cost around £25million, with the fee going to a third party which owned him.
Reports have now claimed that Tevez will actually cost £45million. Such a fee would break the current British record .
