Beverly Hills hotel to hang Iranian photographers’ works

TEHRAN -- Iranian actress Laleh Eskandari accompanied by three women photographers will be holding an exhibit at the Beverly Hills’ Hilton Hotel on January 9.
Entitled “Iran through the Lens of Four Photographers”, the showcase features photos by Eskandari, Susan Farahani, Banafsheh Purangi-Abadi and Nushin Sabet.
The event is organized by the Farhang Foundation, which aims to celebrate and to promote the study and research of Iranian art, culture and history.
Baku University to hold seminar on Qashqai music
TEHRAN -- The Baku State University will be holding a seminar on Iran’s Qashqai music on January 5.
The Iranian researcher Damun Sheshboluki, the organizer of the conference, has made a 50-hour film about Iranian nomadic music that also features interviews with Iranian music experts.
He told the MNA reporter that he intends to shoot a documentary film on Qashqai music with the collaboration of one of the Baku TV channels..
