Mark Hughes set to be offered Turkey job

Turkey are on the verge of offering former Manchester City boss Mark Hughes a chance to manage their national team, according to The Mirror.
It is claimed that the Turkish FA have made 'Sparky' their top target to fill the boots of Fatih Terim, who resigned following an unsuccessful Wold Cup qualification campaign. It is also believed that the former Blackburn Rovers manager will be asked to have Tugay - who was working with Hughes as a member of his coaching staff at Eastlands - as his No. 2, as the ex-Turkey international is still looked upon as a national hero.
Prior attempts to lure Giovanni Trapattoni, Guus Hiddink and Luiz Felipe Scolari have failed, prompting the Turkish FA to take the next best option.
Hughes has seen his value rise on the market following his unceremonious dismissal at Manchester City, and Turkey are said to be interested in his services particularly due to his management of Wales between 1999 and 2004.
