Paris show to hang photos by Iranian photographers

TEHRAN -- Iran’s Silk Road Gallery will be presenting photographs to be exhibited at the Paris Photo 2010, all of which were taken by renowned Iranian photographers.
Photos by Bahman Jalali, Katayun Karami and other Iranian photographers will be showcased at the gala by the gallery, which is entirely dedicated to the art of photography.Photos by the intellectual photographer Bahman Jalali and Katayun Karami, whose work focuses on the situation of Iranian women, will be featured at the gala, the gallery director Anahita Qabaeean told the Persian service of Fars News Agency.
“While we have not finalized our plans for Iran’s stand at the venue, we anticipate taking 25 photographs to the event and initially hanging half of them on a display wall, and then replacing them with the remaining photos in the course of the event,” she explained.
This major photographic event will be held from November 18 to 21 at the Carrousel du Louvre.
