Jassem Vishgahi presented his gold medal of the 7th World University Karate Championship to Ali Shaterzadeh who died at the age of 37 last week.

“Shaterzade played a big role in helping Iran to shine in the world. He made us proud,” Vishgahi said after winning a gold medal on Sunday.
Shaterzade had won four gold medals in the Asian Championship and one silver medal in the 1998 World Championship in Brazil.
