Almaty festival screens “Raw, Cooked, Burned”
TEHRAN -- Iranian filmmaker Shahram Mokri’s “Raw, Cooked, Burned” is competing in the 9th edition of the Shaken Stars Film Festival in Almaty.The short film tells the story of a 40-year-old man who thinks about his lost opportunities.
The festival runs until May 15.
“Nader and Simin” to compete in Sydney filmfest
TEHRAN -- The acclaimed Iranian film “Nader and Simin, a Separation” will be contending for a $60,000 cash prize at the Sydney Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from June 8 to 19.
A portrayal of the break-up of a marriage, the film won a Golden Bear for best picture at this year’s Berlinale..
