Iranian cultural attaché, Radio Television of Serbia director meet

TEHRAN – Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Belgrade Mahmud Shaluii has recently met with the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) Director Dragan Bujosevic.
They both met at RTS office where cooperation between RTS and IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) and Cinema Organization of Iran (COI) was discussed, the Persian service of MNA reported on Saturday.Bujosevic called Iran a country with a rich culture and history, adding that more efforts are needed to introduce this brilliant history to the world.
He said that citizens of his country do not have enough knowledge about Iran and there needs to be increased use made of the media like television and cinema to screen films and documentaries to help better introduce Iran.
He also proposed that a team of documentary filmmakers of his country to travel to Iran and produce some good documentaries to be aired on Serbia’s TV channels.
Shaluii for his part also said that Iranian films and TV series enjoy rich content and have attracted the world’s attention.
Shaluii next handed a package of Iranian films with Serbian subtitles to Bujosevic and said that IRIB officials are also desirous of bilateral cooperation.
