TEHRAN- Iranian vice president for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi says that women’s abilities in politics should not be overlooked.

“Paying attention to women’s various potential encourages them to play a more effective role in the society,” Molaverdi told IRNA on Saturday.

Referring to a nuclear agreement reached between Iran and major powers, she said that the accord didn’t mean that the Islamic Republican’s gates will be opened to imports and that Iran will become a major consumer of foreign products.

She said as President Hassan Rouhani always insists the economy officials of the country must be as patient as nuclear negotiators meaning that improvement of relations with other countries must not result in an influx of foreign products into the country.

In the current situation, the government is planning to increase domestic productions and move slowly out of recession, she concluded.
