TEHRAN - Officials have to show what they have done regarding resistance economy, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi-Kermani has said.

Referring to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s guidelines about the resistance economy, Movahedi-Kermani said government officials have to clarify what unnecessary programs they have eliminated in order to contribute to the resistance economy, Mehr reported Monday.

In detail, the resistance economy guideline encourages increase in exports of electricity, gas, petrochemicals, and oil byproducts instead of crude oil and other raw materials.

It also emphasizes the expansion of the production and exportation of knowledge-based products, increase in domestic production of strategic goods, development of markets in neighboring countries, reforming consumption patterns and fighting corruption.
