Intl. Congress of Islamic Eulogists opens in Shiraz

TEHRAN – The 13th International Congress of Islamic Eulogists opened with a large number of Iranian and foreign participants in Shiraz on Wednesday.
Over 30 Iranian and foreign eulogists coming from Turkey, Germany, Malaysia India, Iraq, Tajikistan and several other countries were honored during the opening ceremony, secretary of the congress Mehdi Dehqan Nayyeri told Persian media on Wednesday.Two workshops have also been arranged during the two-day congress, in which Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi will discuss the poetry recited by the eulogists at different ceremonies, Dehqan Nayyeri said.
He added that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali-Asghar Dastgheib and several foreign guests have also been invited to speak during the second workshop.
Several foreign eulogists are expected to give performances during the program.
The congress has previously been held in nine different provinces and so far over 140 eulogists have been honored.
