TEHRAN - The Guardian Council is an impartial arbiter in elections which states its views according to electoral regulations, spokesman Nejatollah Ebrahimian has said.

Speaking on Friday in the IRNA booth at the 21th Press Expo in Tehran, Ebrahimian said, “What we have and consider our duty to act to is laws and regulations.”

“I believe that it would be better that principlists, reformists, and all other political activists under all titles in Iran encouraged the Guardian Council and other organizations involved in elections to observe the law rather than anything else,” he stressed.

“If we all act to the law, the desirable outcome for the system and country will come by,” he underlined.
