Iran participates in Kuwait book exhibition

TEHRAN – Al-Huda Publications is representing Iran at the 40th Arabic Books Exhibition, which is currently underway at Kuwait International Fairgrounds (KIF) with the motto of “Reading Expands Our Horizons.”
About 200 books on various issues, including Iranian arts, history, culture and tourism attractions, are on display at Al-Huda’s stand.

Over 500 international publishers have sent their latest offering to the fair, which will run until November 28.


Ahvaz to host storytelling festival

TEHRAN – The 2nd Festival of Storytellers Mothers and Mothers will be held in southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz during December.

The event organized by the Khuzestan office of Islamic Culture and Guidance aims to promote the venerable tradition of storytelling, and to collect part of the oral traditions and preserve them for the next generation.

Winners will be announced at Helal Cinema in Ahvaz on December 23.


Bookstore specializing in Quranic science opens in Tehran

TEHRAN – The Tehran-based Ketabshahr chain of bookstores has opened its newest branch specializing in the Holy Quran in downtown Tehran.

Tehran City Council member Ahmad Masjed-Jamei and a group of publishers attended the opening ceremony of the store on Thursday.
