IAEA report closes PMD case: Iranian MP

TEHRAN - An Iranian MP has said that the International Atomic Energy Agency’s recent report about Iran’s nuclear program closes the possible military dimensions (PMD) case forever.

The PMD “used to be a tool in the hands of the West, for which we were put under sanctions and paid a lot for years. But the problem is going to be resolved now, inshallah, and the closure of the case will be a major step on route a comprehensive development of the country,” Mansour Haqiqatpour, vice chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said.

“Although we were expecting a gray report, it seems that the report is a bright one, with more positive points than negative,” ISNA reported him as saying on Friday.

As the PMD case is closed, the exchange of enriched fuel with yellow cake, removal of the Arak reactor’s core, and having the number of centrifuges reach the agreed number will be on agenda for Iran, he pointed out.
