TEHRAN – Iranian President Hassan Rouhnai has said that “enemies” have created division in the world of Islam while urging Muslim states to resolve problems in the Middle East region.

Rouhani made the remarks in a gathering in which foreign ambassadors and participants of an international conference on Islamic unity met the Supreme leader in his office on Tuesday.

Rouhani said Iran achieved victory in the nuclear negotiations through unity at home and the guidelines set by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah.

Iran’s security has been guaranteed by following the Leader’s guidelines, he said, reiterating the position by Tehran that the Islamic Republic will help the world of Islam in the fight against terrorism.

Elsewhere, Rouhani said, “The Islamic system and the country’s victory” should be considered in the parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections which will be held simultaneously on February 26.
