TEHRAN - The Dey 9 epic is a precious symbol of the Iranian nation’s staunchness in supporting the Supreme Leader, an Expediency Council member has said.

Ali Akbar Velayati said today the Islamic Republic is active in all international arenas with the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and backing of the nation, Mehr reported on Wednesday.

He underlined that Iran will stand tall against all arrogant plots and the mischievous intentions of ill-wishers.

Dey 9 [or December 30) marks the day in which millions of people took to the streets in Tehran in 2009 to show their strong protest against those who claimed vote rigging in the presidential election.
