TERHAN - In a joint press conference with his Omni counterpart on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called Tehran-Muscat relationship “exemplary.”

Zarif said Iran has expressed gratitude to Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said and his government for having played a positive role in brokering a nuclear deal between Iran and great powers as well as efforts by the country to help settle regional conflicts.
The top Iranian diplomat called Oman a “good and trustworthy neighbor”, adding that Iran considers no limit in its relations with Oman.
The visit to Tehran by the high-ranking Omani delegation, consisting of the trade minister, chief investment officer, and head of the central bank and Muscat Bank among others, depicts the two countries’ willingness to enhance relations, Zarif explained.
During the talks, Zarif said, the two sides looked into political and security cooperation as well as economic development.
“Cooperation in economy included energy sector, transportation, gas pipelines, banking and joint investment in industry and mining as well as collaboration in political areas such as regional and world security.”
