State Welfare Organization creates 40,000 jobs

TEHRAN — State Welfare Organization of Iran has so far provided 40,000 job opportunities for help seekers under its coverage in the current Iranian calendar year, which ends on March 19, the chief of the organization Anoushiravan Mohseni-Bandpey said.

Over 22,000 of the jobs are designed specifically for the people with disabilities, Mohseni-Bandpey told Mehr news agency, adding, so far 2.6 trillion rials (nearly $74 million) has been allocated to fund the project.

“The money will be granted to the employers as loans,” he noted, “for each job opportunity a loan of 100 to 150 million rials (nearly $2,800 to $4,200) will be paid to the employers.”

He explained that each employer can receive loans in case they succeed in providing five persons with jobs.

According to Mohseni-Bandpey, the money allocated to this project will reach 4 trillion rials (nearly $114 million) by the end of the current Iranian year.
