TEHRAN -- Iranian Quran memorizer Sama Babai has taken first place in the category of memorizing the entire Quran at the 11th Hashemite International Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran in the Jordanian capital Amman, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Friday.

Babai, who is visually impaired, began memorizing the Holy Quran when she was eight. It took four years for her to memorize the Quran in its entirety.
