Iran finished at sixth place in the FIVB Men’s Junior World Championship after being beaten 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-10) by host Brazil at Maracanazinho Gymnasium. 

Russia claimed the title for the eight times following a thrilling 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-12) victory over Argentina at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro.
