TEHRAN – In a message issued on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi expressed his sympathy to his North Korean counterpart Pak Ui Chun over the demise of the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-il.

Kim Jong-il passed away on Saturday at the age of 69 after suffering a heart attack when he was aboard a train during a trip out of Pyongyang, the KCNA news agency announced on Monday.
