TEHRAN – World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Secretary General Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri has dismissed as “baseless” the allegations that Iran is making efforts to promote Shiism in Egypt. 

 

“We do not even approve of individual efforts in this regard,” Ayatollah Taskhiri said on Wednesday. 

 

He also expressed hope that diplomatic relations between the two countries would be normalized.
