Quake jolts western Iran, 18 injured

TEHRAN – An earthquake jolted about 50 small towns and villages in western Ilam province near the Iraqi border on Thursday, injuring eighteen people and damaging buildings.
 
The magnitude 5.5 quake completely destroyed the village of Mourmouri at 2:39 p.m. local time. Fortunately there has been no loss of life so far, a local official said.
