Execs of Resistance filmfest meet Leader’s senior advisor

TEHRAN -- Executives of the 14th International Resistance Film Festival (IRFF) have met with Ali Akbar Velayati, the foreign policy advisor to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, at his office in Tehran on Saturday.

Velayati asked the organizers of the festival, which is dedicated to productions featuring resistance of people in wars and armed conflicts in the world, to establish a society of Islamic Awakening filmmakers in order to discover talents in the resistance cinema.

IRFF secretary Mohammad Khazaei gave a report on the festival at the meeting.

The festival has received submissions from over 100 countries, including the U.S, India, Germany, Turkey, England, Italy, France, Canada, Spain and Russia.

The event will be held during the Sacred Defense Week in September to commemorate the anniversary of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
