Iran is pumping 3.85 million barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) and exporting 2.2 million bpd, Ali Kardor, managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA on Tuesday.
Iran pumped 3.62 million bpd in July, according to a Reuters survey.
Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh told parliament last week that he wanted to raise output to 4.6 million bpd within five years, well above pre-sanction levels of 3.8-4 million bpd.
