Actor Reza Fayyazi honored at International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults

TEHRAN -- The 23rd edition of the International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults wrapped up in Hamedan on Saturday, honoring actor Reza Fayyazi with a lifetime achievement award.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fayyazi said that theatrical figures need to master the art and have knowledge if they want to work for children.

“I would like to ask the officials to attend the workshops arranged for the children. These children and young adults will become great men in the future,” he added.

The ceremony continued with presenting the awards to the winners of different sections.

Shirin Kashefi won the best actress award for her role in the play “Pieces of Paper” and Aryan Naseri Mehr won the best actor award for “The Wish of a Colorful Skein”.

“The Wish of a Colorful Skein” also brought the best screenplay award for screenwriter Farhad Esmaeili.

Director Ramin Kohan received the best award for the play “One Day and Two Seasons”.

“One Day and Two Seasons” was also picked as the best play and also received the best jury award.

The winners of the children section were also honored at the closing ceremony.

Sahar Zeinali won the best actress award for her role in “Cookies of God”, while the play also brought the best actor award for Saeid Haji Heidari.

“Cookies of God” also brought the best director award for Arash Sharifzadeh. 

The people’s choice award in this section went to the play “Overcoat” from South Korea.

Moreover, the winners of the young adults section were honored.

Anali Shakuri won the best actress award for “One Apple for Two”, and the group of actors received the best award for the play “Aftershocks”.
