TEHRAN – A movement against violence and extremism should arise from the holy city of Qom, the president’s special aide for ethnic and religious minorities said in an address to Qom Seminary teachers on Saturday.
All scholars in Qom oppose violence and extremism under the pretext of religion and consider ethics and tolerance as the key mottos of Islam and its Prophet, Ali Younesi stressed, according to the Arman Emrooz newspaper.
Younesi said moderation will do away with violence and it should become publicized.
