TEHRAN – A member of the central council of Mardomsalari party and former MP has said it would be beneficial to have one or two reserve candidates behind Hassan Rouhani for the May presidential race.

Speaking to Mehr on Monday, Dariush Ghanbari said doing so would be beneficial if the timing is right.

However, he underlined that it is too early yet to speak of a reserve candidate. He also predicted all reformist groups will agree on Rouhani.
