November 28, 2017

TEHRAN – Tehran’s Milad Tower will be hosting the Iran-Korea Friendship Festival from December 2 to 8.

Several groups of Korean artists are scheduled to come to Iran to perform various programs during the event, the Embassy of Korea in Tehran announced in a press release on Tuesday.
The festival will begin with Nanta, a South Korean non-verbal comedy show that incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm. Another performance has also been arranged for December 3.

The Black Light Land, an Iranian art and entertainment group, will also have performances on the same two days.

In addition, veteran Korean artist Lee Yong-joo is scheduled to attend the festival to create works of Honjasu, traditional Korean embroidery.

A collection of 37 pieces of Honjasu will be put on display in an exhibition at the gallery of the tower for one week.

The festival has been organized to celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations between Iran and South Korea.
