Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytales published in Persian

TEHRAN – A selection of fairytales by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen has recently been published in Persian in Tehran. 

Translator Lida Tarzi has chosen “The Flying Trunk”, one of Andersen’s stories, as the name for the selection, which has been released by Neyestan Publications.

The collection published in Iran is comprised of several less-read stories by Andersen.

Andersen was best known for writing children’s stories including “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling”.

The author achieved worldwide fame for writing innovative and influential fairytales. Many of his stories remain classics of the genre.
