Trio Joubran’s new album coming with title track by Mohammad Motamedi

TEHRAN – The Trio Joubran, the Palestinian brothers and masters of oud, will release their new album “The Long March” on October 12 with the title track by Iranian singer Mohammad Motamedi, the trio has announced on their website.

Motamedi has selected a poetry from Khaju Kermani, the Persian poet and mystic who lived during the 13th and 14th centuries.

The album opens with a statement by Palestine’s national poet and author Mahmoud Darwish. 

The album also contains “Carry the Earth”, co-written by Pink Floyd legendary singer and activist Roger Waters.

The song is has been dedicated to all those who die for their land but especially to four young cousins who were murdered in a tragic event while playing football on a beach in Gaza in 2014.

Mixed by the famous Parisian producer Renaud Letang, “The Long March” opens a new direction for the music of the Joubran Trio, Samir, Wissam and Adnan Joubran.
