Iran-Iraq joint chamber of commerce holds meeting on expansion of trade
TEHRAN – Members of Iran-Iraq joint chamber of commerce along with businessmen from both sides gathered together in Tehran to discuss ways of developing mutual trade, IRIB reported on Sunday.
Being held for the first time after 15 years, the meeting was mainly focused on promoting mutual trade with Kirkuk, Mosul and Erbil regions in Iraq in order to help reconstructing Mosul in Iraq.
During the meeting the two sides pointed out issues and problems regarding trade between the two countries and expressed eagerness for resolving such problems and increasing mutual trade.
Speaking at the event, the Secretary General of Iran-Iraq Chamber Hamid Hosseini said that Iraq is Iran's second-largest trading partner, and Iran is the third largest trading partner for Iraq after China and Turkey, which we hope will climb to the first place in the near future.
