TEHRAN – A former Iranian foreign minister said on Saturday that the United States uses sanctions against different countries to secure its own interests.

Speaking at a conference on ways to counter U.S. sanctions, Manouchehr Mottaki said the U.S. has always resorted to sanctions against the Iranian nation, and “in the next six months, we will be facing the most dangerous turn of U.S. sanctions.”

He added that if Iran emerges victorious in defying the sanctions, the U.S. will realize that it has lost the game to Iran forever, IRNA reported.
