Bahrain to Launch New High-Speed Ferry Service in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN Bahrain will launch a high-speed ferry next week capable of carrying 84 vehicles between the island state and six Persian Gulf cities, the Gulf daily news reported Wednesday.
The 585-passenger tylos will offer a scheduled service from Bahrain to the two Iranian port cities of Boushehr and Bandar Abbas, the southern Iraqi port city of Umm Qasr, Kuwait City, Doha and Dubai, the paper said.
The ferry will be able to transport 84 vehicles and each passenger will have a luggage capacity of 100 kilograms.
A return fare for foot passengers to Dubai will be 40 dinars ($105), while similar tickets to Doha, Kuwait city, both Iranian cities and Umm Qasr will range from 36 to 63 dinars ($94-165)
