Pakistan to Send 6 Teams for Sydney Olympics

ISLAMABAD Pakistan on Saturday said it will send 31 players in six sports disciplines for the upcoming Sydney Olympics.
Mohammad Ishfaq, a senior official of Pakistan sports board told IRNA correspondent that the Pakistani hockey team is already in Australia while the other teams will leave for Sydney on September 3.
Besides hockey, he said, Pakistan will compete in boxing, rowing, swimming, shooting and athletics.
The best endeavors of Pakistan, Ishfaq said, will be secure position in hockey.
