EC Approves Increase in Fars-Nou Co. Cement Production Capacity

TEHRAN Economic Council (EC), chaired by President Mohammad Khatami, approved Saturday to increase Fars-Nou' Cement Factory's production capacity from 2,000 tons to 3,000 tons daily, reported the Management and Planning Organization on Sunday.
It also said that the council authorized the Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephone to purchase electronic parts for stationary telecommunication centers.
The council also approved participation of companies affiliated to the oil and industries ministries in petrochemical projects, expansion of oil reserves sites and expansion of production capacity for manufacturing heavy engines for vehicles.
