Israel Cancels Peace Session With Palestinians

BAIT-UL-MOQADDAS Israel cancelled a planned session of peace talks with the Palestinians on Tuesday and a senior Israeli official said a temporary suspension was in effect due to Palestinian intransigence. Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told Reuters he was "very surprised" by the decision and expressed regret that talks planned for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday apparently would not be held.
