Court Reprimands Father for Slapping Son for Swearing at Police

LONDON A father, who pleaded guilty to using abusive language to his son for being involved in a confrontation with the police, received a conditional discharge and was ordered to pay costs, press reports said on Wednesday.
A more serious charge of affray was dropped.
Nicholas Goodburn, 35, slapped his son Gary, 17, after arriving at the scene to find his son swearing at police in King's Lynn, Norfolk, last month.
A charge of affray was then laid.
