TEHRAN Nine shells, fired in Afghanistan during weekend fighting, exploded on Tajik territory, a spokesman for Russian border guards based in the region said on Sunday.
Seven tank shells and two other rocket-propelled missiles landed between 100 and 300 meters (yards) inside the border, the spokesman said, adding that no one was injured and no damage resulted from the stray shells.
