2nd Math Festival Opens in Isfahan

TEHRAN 2nd Math Festival opened in the historical city of Isfahan on Monday in the presence of renowned Iranian mathematician and scientist, Professor Reza. The festival was organized by Iran's House of Mathematics (Khaneh Riaziat). It was attended by a large number of university students, professors, intellectuals and researchers.
Speaking in the inauguration ceremony of the festival, Professor Reza expressed satisfaction over his presence in the city of Isfahan, saying that Isfahan is a city in which mathematics has been combined with art and Gnosticism. He added that the historical places in the city of Isfahan such as mosques and ancient monuments are all manifestations of art, Gnosticism and mathematics. Professor Reza emphasized that establishment of the House of Mathematics was a remarkable step, adding that the scientific future of the country is formed in such places.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Reza awarded those who presented articles to the festival. Some 10 articles were read in the presence of Professor Reza.
