TEHRAN Despite repeated warnings, some officials still hold membership of political parties as well as their positions with the government.

The Interior Ministry's Article 10 Commission last week disclosed the names of such officials, saying that they were violating the commission's bylaw.

The Article 10 Commission deals with the political parties.

The officials whose names were disclosed by the commission included the Foreign Ministry's Director General for the Persian Gulf Affairs Hossein Sadeqi. Sadeqi is also an active member of the Islamic Revolution Mojahedin Organization (IRMO).

Furthermore, it was the TEHRAN TIMES that first reported that the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Serajoddin Mousavi also violated the Article 10 Commission's bylaw by being a member of the political association Majma'-e Rouhaniyoun-e Mobarez (MRM). He continues to be a member of the MRM.

Meanwhile, a sketchy report said that the Foreign Ministry has recalled an Iranian ambassador in Europe for certain irregularities. But the report did not reveal either the name of the ambassador or the nature of the irregularities.
